In the last few years, the number of licensed cannabis producers in Canada has grown quickly, with numerous new brands coming to market. Restrictive packaging and promotional regulations mean that superior brand positioning and communications are needed to compete in this oversaturated and continually changing marketplace. We worked on this challenge with Lotus Ventures, creating and launching their first consumer cannabis brand: Lotus Cannabis Co.
At their state-of-the-art, 22,500-square-foot purpose-built facility located in Armstrong, BC, Lotus cultivates premium cannabis products. With complete control of the growing environment – from hospital-quality air filtration to lights that mimick the gentle rise and fall of the sun – everything is designed to make the plants as happy as possible. With a west coast “craft-focused” bud culture, every batch is also meticulously nurtured, hand-trimmed, and carefully packaged to ensure aromatic terpene profiles, high THC content, and the utmost quality. Our task was to develop a strategic brand and packaging system that would boldly differentiate their brand in the minds of cannabis consumers, and that truly reflected their growing experience and attitude.
